What Does a Project Manager Do at SYBIT?

As a Project Manager at SYBIT, you are responsible for the successful delivery of a project, both internally and externally. Internally, success is measured against the KPIs defined by Project Management, while externally, the project objectives agreed with the customer are the key measure of success.

When planning and managing projects, you use the agile project methodology established at SYBIT and decide which methods and tools are best suited to each individual project. You create schedules that serve as a roadmap throughout the project and ensure that sprint goals and deadlines are met. You also manage the project budget and monitor compliance using SYBIT’s project controlling tools.

Together with SYBIT’s Staffing Team, you assemble the project team and coordinate with team members regularly to make adjustments where necessary. On the customer side, you also ensure that all required project roles are filled and that the respective responsibilities are fulfilled.

As a Project Manager, you often support various areas of the project and take a hands-on approach when needed. You monitor the quality of the work and ensure that project objectives are achieved. You prioritize tasks, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and remain calm under pressure. Your decisions are always objective, well-founded, and structured.

Who Do Project Managers at SYBIT Work With?

You work in interdisciplinary teams. Because Project Managers coordinate all processes and maintain an overview of project activities, you interact with a variety of disciplines depending on the project and its requirements—including UX Designers, Consulting Experts, and Frontend and Backend Developers.

As the central point of contact, you keep everyone involved in the project up to date, lead meetings, and communicate regularly with customers. You ensure transparency regarding project status, identify risks, and define appropriate countermeasures. You escalate critical issues in a timely manner and are able to resolve conflicts effectively.

What Tools and Methods Do Project Managers at SYBIT Use?

To ensure efficient ways of working, we rely on modern tools. In Project Management, you should ideally be familiar with collaboration tools such as Atlassian Confluence and JIRA. Dedicated software is also used for resource administration and budget controlling, and you will receive training on these tools.
If you’re not yet an expert in everything, don’t worry—your new colleagues will be there to support you, and you’ll learn many things on the job.
