“Movera takes you further”
This is the motto of the camping and leisure wholesaler MOVERA, which has been operating successfully on the market for over 20 years.
The product range has grown immensely over the years. The camping outfitter offers its B2B and end customers more than 25,000 products from around 350 brands in the
online catalog and B2B store.
Now the new commerce platform, consisting of a website and web store, is taking the company further into the future: with a high-performance, UX-optimized website and a future-oriented cloud system in the background as the basis for further growth.
The challenge
MOVERA sells 25,000 products via around 1,700 retail partners throughout Europe.
It was a strategic decision to switch to a future-proof, scalable technology for the presentation of these products and to replace the previous store system with a new platform based on SAP Commerce Cloud. The aim was to merge the website and web store in line with the guiding principle of “one face to the customer” and offer the end user an optimal customer experience when searching for the right product.
In an excellent partnership, we were not only able to replace our old platform and create a future-proof basis. Together, we have achieved immediate added value for our customers.

The project
The webshop based on Composable Storefront was adapted from the ground up to the customer's needs, which were previously defined in several workshops. MOVERA's deep understanding of the customer made it easier to implement the corresponding requirements - including new product information management (PIM) features.
Composable Storefront is based on the open source code from Spartacus and is included in the SAP Commerce Cloud license at no additional cost. In addition to a headless architecture, the front end also allows a high degree of scalability as well as updates and further developments independent of the back end.
