Sybit holds 5th Agile Bodensee Conference
Radolfzell, September 30, 2016. The Agile Bodensee Conference attracted over 180 participants to the Steigenberger Inselhotel in Konstanz this year. When the event wound down, the attendees agreed: the trip had been very much worth it.
“A wonderful ambience, an open atmosphere, and creative ideas under discussion. I love coming back here,” said Hagen Buchwald, board member at andrena objects ag, Karlsruhe. In his talk, he described the challenges involved in the introduction of agility at the corporate level. Top speakers including Joseph Pelrine received an enthusiastic response from the audience as did the Konstanz IT service provider Seitenbau.
Besides the talks about rationalized methods and practical experiences, the contributions covered topics relating to human interaction, which affect teams and departments operating in the modern business world. “Human beings are not merely a resource but also team members with needs, goals – and a heart. That has been illustrated in the talks, workshops and personal conversations.” This was how the organizers summarized the central conference theme.
Agile project methods in software development place efficient and continuous cooperation between the staff in Development and in the operating department at the center. Projects are realized in teamwork, with people proceeding in close cooperation using structured partial steps. Since 2008, Sybit has not only been using agile software development in its own business units, but has also been advising other companies on the introduction and implementation of agile methods.
